Visited Yama Sushi with a group of 9 w/o a reservation. The staff quickly put some tables together for us and we were seated in 2 minutes! As a group 5 of us ate sushi, and 4 ate off the regular menu. All of the rolls were good, a couple were very good - Christmas tree roll (unique twist) and Caterpillar roll......hard to remember all the different names. I would definitely go back!

New review for Fall 2024. Try the dinosaur egg appetizer, even the pickiest of eaters will love the simplicity of fired shrimp and avocado in a light savory sauce. Next I had the Uni, somewhat rare on availability. Delicious and fresh, you can taste ocean in the creamy smooth texture. I order big, now having the barbecue squid, very tender and cooked perfectly in a sweet and savory sauce. One can taste the caramelization and bbq flavor. The broccoli florets, carrot and onion slivers are a nice compliment. My entree as usual is the Sashimi deluxe. Never disappoints. A tad cool, best to let it warm up a bit to experience the fresh seafood flavors.

If you are in the Hampden area and want some really good sushi, Yama Sushi Bar is the place. Please do not let the strip mall exterior deter you away from this place, the sushi and service is excellent. Their menu is pretty extensive with a great variety to choose from. Also they give complimentary samples of sushi and other treats with each visit which is nice, gives you a chance to try something different to order next time. Definitely will return the next time I am in Hampden

Service was so good and fast and straight to the point. The ambiance is nice- it's so quiet and easy to talk to my partner to enjoy a meal. The sushi omggggg!!!!! More fish than rice such a good bang for your buck. The prices were good too I am coming back here !

Four stars for Yama Sushi! I finally came in after months of wanting to try. I came in with a friend on a Thursday night. It was a casual, chill vibe. We ordered Gyoza, Yellowtail w/ Jalapeño, the Phoenix Roll, and the Christmas Tree. It came up to a little less than $50 which was great for two people because we were full. Everything was fresh, but my favorite was the yellowtail with jalapeño. I also love that they start you off with a cucumber salad (it had a little kick to it). I will definitely be back!

A very vibrant environment to say least. I knew I was in for a treat when I saw two people getting into an argument about someone cutting them in line. Everything was honestly so amazing though to the California sushi rolls to the shrimp tempura, which I say was a 10/10. The staff were super helpful, I was with someone who was't really experienced with sushi, and the waitress was explaining the menu really well and led them to Eel Avocado Roll.

Got the christmas tree, pink dragon, and supreme roll for $40 ish. It was pretty delicious and I will be going back for the Saturday lunch deal.

Visiting from Hawaii and found this gem of a sushi bar. The service is fantastic and quick. Sushi is really good. Hamachi was a bit chewy but everything else was exceptional. Unagi sushi was a real standout. Saba and sake/salmon were also very good. On the list for the next visit - tempura and hokkigai and maybe some rolls now that I know the fish quality is great. Overall a great experience. Price is fair. Actually better than a lot of places we frequent back in Honolulu.

An unassuming place in a strip mall that serves up delicious sushi. Supreme Roll-- my favorite, crunchy and flavorful Christmas tree--other favorite, loved the quality and the seaweed salad on top really added to the flavor of the roll Rock and roll--very good Golden lobster--BIG roll, my friend loved this Dragon - okay in terms of all we ordered Fried Scallops - great breading plus we liked the veggies Gyoza--served with 8 of them, great filling, definitely ordering again Cucumber salad--they gave us a small taste of this at the start and it was so yummy! I would order that next time Cheesecake--they also gave us each a different cheesecake bite as the end which was so kind. We really enjoyed them, especially the chocolate chip one! Definitely go here if you are in the area or in Baltimore looking for quality sushi (and have a car)!

We recently ordered from Yama Sushi and it was as yummy as the first time. I never took photos for my last review, so this one comes with some pretty shots - especially the sushi lollipop! I also had to update my review because Yama gave us a piece of cheesecake on the house, which I thought was so nice!
